It's that time again where I log on with a call for pitches: I'm commissioning for October-November right now. I am looking for timely essays and written-through features on culture, design, and fashion. Pitch me at mb@family.style

If you have an idea that you think is a great fit but doesn't fall into the Oct-Nov window, feel free to send it anyway.

Note: The rate is $300 for 800 words. In addition, the editor is always looking to add more writers to their freelance pool to take on newsy features for the web and more in-depth profiles for print. Rates for these vary depending on the scope. For pitches, writers may email mb@family.style with a short introduction and a brief synopsis covering the who, what, where, why, and when, along with clips written in a similar format.
