We are looking for a 700-word photography tips article on wildlife photography or photographing cities along with 6 to 8 photos to accompany the words (fee £250). These articles usually consist of around 6-8 tips, plus an intro and conclusion. We would suggest looking through the current issue of JRNY to get an idea of how this feature looks.
To be considered, send a short pitch email with your top 6-8 tips that you would include in the article (just a list needed, not the full article written) along with a link to your website or bio. Please put "Photo-tips pitch" in your subject line.
Copy will need to be submitted by: 14th November 2025.
PHOTO-ESSAY
We are also looking for a travel photo essay on any subject, event or destination. If pitching a destination, keep it to a small region or city rather than an entire country. The fee for the photo essay is £250.
While we are open to pitches from any destination, we are less likely to commission photos essays on destinations that we have already featured photo essays on. So you may want consider taking out an annual digital subscription for £5 a year to check what we have covered in previous issues.
Send a pitch with a brief outline of your angle plus an online link to a portfolio of the images (or a low res PDF of the images - less than 5mb). Please add "Photo essay pitch" in the subject line and do not email high res images.
High res images and captions will need to be submitted by: 14th November 2025.
For both of these features, photos would have to have been taken with a full-frame camera. Smartphone photos will not be accepted.
