Here's the same video from my YouTube channel. Posted here so it's easier to find!

Amazing lesson but can someone explain how the Major 7th doesn't clash with the minor 7 in the Am7 chord?

Bluesman69

Extremely well structured lesson. In line with previous comments comments, I really appreciated the commented thought process. Learned a lot.

peter sehested

Great lesson, Jack! I appreciate the careful laid out thought process and reference tab while you play on the video.

Chris Capaldi

Jack, do you use a reverb or delay pedal at all? Not really asking about the specific pedal brand, just whether you use them.

Memphis

I haven't missed the backing track for this have I? There are some awesome lines I want to try.

David Mackey

...superb playing, a masterpiece!

GuitarRailroader

Thank you!!!

jan

I will get it up ASAP!

Jack Ruch

I will have it up by tomorrow. Sorry for the delay!

Jack Ruch

It's definitely a lot to take in. It's just kind of an overview of all the possibilities. I'll do some in-depth videos about the specific scales and uses.

Jack Ruch

did you have a chance to upload the backing track?

jan

I got some of it, but a good bit was over my head. I think of it as pre-teaching. I'll go over it a few more times and look up altered scales and try to put it all together

David Pyles

Great video, cheers mate! would be great if we can have the backing track some time soon :D. Thanksss

Glad you liked it!

Really fantastic lesson, thanks Jack.

Dave Mannion

great lesson on using melodic minors over dominant chords. Especially i loved the way you tritoned the lydian dominant with altered, so much easier to navigate on the fretboard. very cool!

jan

Fully agree, this is just great stuff!

Ville Kuitunen

Absolutely!

Jack Ruch

Thank you Dave! I'm glad to have you here. I'm happy you're getting something from these lessons!

Jack Ruch

That's great Jack, thanks

Thanks Jack. I'm new to your Patreon page and really appreciate your posting the YT link to your lesson. Certainly makes it easier to follow. Your approach to teaching has really opened up my playing.
