I know this is from a couple of months ago, but it just came up on my YouTube feed. I was pretty much stuck in working the pentatonic scale for these types of slow blues runs. Thanks for pointing out the importance of working off the 3rd of the chord for a much more melodic, and full, lead.

The first pass reminds me very much of Peter Green's recording of I need your love so bad. Using pentatonics with such feeling, beautiful. When this is combined with the triad chord tones in the final solo you have something really special. As always, great playing and very well explained. Thanks Jack
