Jack - please do more of these types of lessons where you give us creative ways to think about developing the solo and why they work. It is encouraging to me to hear you talk about how one can get stuck in simply using a scale pattern shape(s) (major or minor, diatonic or pentatonic) without thinking much beyond that. If you could suggest some drills that complement the lesson… such as practicing D Dorian all over the neck or the Am harmonic scale… that would be great! Thanks Jack!
