Basic Song Structure - Video + PDF (PATREON ONLY)

Late night post! Probably will be more common now that I have a home studio, lol.

Anyways, here's the first of many videos I'd like to make just for you folks. It's a primer for our future song structure lessons and discussions.

I've included a 2 page PDF. Page 1 outlines the main points in this video, and page 2 will be very helpful for our future lessons. I suggest you read through page 2 and try to apply it on your own before I go through it in more detail in the next video.

I didn't mention it in this video, but the sections and their roles as I speak about them are also 100% applicable to music with no vocals at all. A good example would be Cliff's Of Dover- take a listen to it after watching this video!

There are a formidable amount of you here now (much to my delight) so I'm doubtful I can answer every single question. I'm sure though that many of you will share the same questions and I will be answering the most important ones here in the comment threads. I do read every single comment though, so you can bet that any questions that go unanswered in the comment section will be addressed in future videos.

I'd like to release another one of these next week and every week thereafter. To keep things on topic, I'd like to do probably 2 more on structure and writing, then maybe switch to something else (I'll refer back to the most recent poll).

THANK YOU and I hope you enjoy this video!

Oh and one last thing- this video is Unlisted on Youtube. That means that only people with the link (you all) can view it. If you have someone close or dear to you that can benefit from watching one of these I won't feel betrayed if you share it with them. However, these links should not be shared on social media or anywhere online. They really are rewards just for you and your support, so I'd obviously like to avoid these videos going public.

BYE!

This series made me become a patreon! Thanks man for all the hard work and simple, actionable videos and pdfs. Really appreciate the boost that your materials are for my learning and practicing.

Exactly why I became a patreon, simple, clear, and content I can immediately go and play around with, thanks, Jake!
