Post Your Questions HERE for Tomorrow's Q+A

Tomorrow (Sunday, June 2nd) at 11:00 AM CT I'll be going live to answer your musical questions! Respond below with a question and I'll answer them in the order they're received.

-If your question involves a song or recording, please link to a version on YouTube so I can hear the correct version (and please include a time-stamp!)

-If you're inquiring about your own music, make sure to include an mp3, sheet music, midi, or some other reference (if possible!).

-Sometimes Patreon will remove links or delete questions (no idea why). If this happens, email me directly with your question (signalsmusicjake@gmail.com)

-If you can't provide links to mp3s or notation, email them to the address above and ALSO post a question below.

I try to prepare a solid answer for each question, so the earlier you can get yours in, the more time I'll have to think over it. But even if you're late, I usually have a bit of time at the end of the broadcast for live questions, so please join in if you can!

Through composed songs are songs that don't repeat sections ex. Bohemian Rhapsody, Paranoid Android. So a more detailed version of my question would be how to write songs that don't repeat sections and can still keep some sort of tether/cohesion.

Hi Jake, would you consider doing more videos (on either channel) focused on production (as in artistic direction, not mixing) and arrangement? Clearly they feature in your songwriting videos, but it would be interesting to have some dedicated content. For instance, showing how a few of your songs could sound very different by changing the arrangement, soundscape, etc; some tricks to make two verses or two choruses sound fresh yet familiar; and any other idea of the sort.
