[Patreon Only] How I Made $5,000 From A Silly Song

Hey everybody! It's pretty standard for me to be LATE on all my deadlines, but what isn't standard is making videos of this type. There's zero theory discussed! But it should give you all some insight into what a modern-day career could look like for a certain type of composer, and hopefully expand your idea of what being a successful songwriter could be.

This is the quick story behind my first "big hit" from about 12 years ago. It went viral, made money, and opened up an entire career path that I ultimately declined to walk down. I learned some very important lessons through that process and share them here to hopefully assist and inspire some of you.

If you want to listen/view these old songs of mine, here are some links that some fans reuploaded before they were purged. They are posted in order of Most Commercially Successful to Total Flops.

And as usual, my inboxes are filled up - Today and tomorrow I'll get around to everyone's messages with a response. If you don't hear from me soon, try me at my personal inbox (jake@signalsmusicstudio.com) as the Patreon Messaging system is prone to sudden failures.

Jake you have a way of explaining things, that I have wanted to truly understand. Could you show us how to add chords to a melody different genres

Production is what I struggle with the most, and it's interesting that production is the aspect of your process that you're the hardest on in retrospect. Your production values today are amazing! I know you've done at least one video on it, but if you ever published a full-fleshed production course I would absolutely buy it.
