APPLIED THEORY: Improving A SIMPLE Chord Progression
Added 2022-07-17 15:05:14 +0000 UTCHey everyone! I've put together a lesson and demonstration for you all on how I use the topics I've taught in the past, using a very basic chord progression as a starting point.
From there I use 5 strategies and techniques to try to improve the progression: arrangement/voiceleading, inversions, secondary chords, extensions, and sequences. As you'll see, I have varying degrees of success with each of these techniques, but they all ultimately come together in the end to create a unique bit of music.
