A New Way to Share Full Resolutions for Patreon

Many of you gave me some very useful feedback about what should I improve about using Patreon so it gets more attractive for many of you. Most of you were so nice and kind telling me I'm already doing great, but I know I can do it even better, especially since this is currently my main income. One of a common feedback I could read was to share more video process videos and I guess that should be sooner, and not only each 15 days that how I was doing it.

So my thought is that, instead of sharing a new batch of full resolution pictures with their respective video process attached on it, I can be sharing to all of you every new picture I do, that can be shared BEFORE I post it on my galleries (as an exclusive premiere), but when I can not do that, I can share them at the same time I'm posting them on my galleries.

Another things that I want to improve is to show some sketches and versions that didn't make it to the end, I think that's pretty interesting to see.

Also many of you mentioned me things like "share a little bit of my personal life" or "I should make exclusive streams".

I'm not quiet sure about sharing my personal life, it is something I rarely do on social networks, but I think I actually do it already here on Patreon with my journals, that's the only part where I get to show a little bit of my life and my thoughts. But what I'm doing currently is organizing every post on a more organized way, I just found that Patreon is encouraging creators to arrange our posts as "Collections", so I can definitely use that. If you go to the front page, you may see some of them already organized.

And definitely I can organize some exclusive streams for sure, just not very sure if I can do it by Discord (that I can finally use Discord), but I don't want to be "talking" a lot, maybe a little bit but I wouldn't be one of those Twitch streamers that are saying hi to the chat and trying to interact with an audience, is not on me that kind of things. But definitely I can give a try how it works, taking advantage we already have a Discord channel. I would try to announce when I could do such streams. But it will be after FWA (Furry Weekend Atlanta is next week, if you attend there, see you there!).

This first time I'm sharing two pictures: The dino pajama party with my friend Steel, these were pictures that I already had shared on galleries and social networks, but this time I'm showing an extra third picture I didn't share publicly, and you can also download the video process of it.

And... a traditional picture I got to work last week, I had already shown an initial sketch some posts ago, but as promised, I can show you in advance (probably tomorrow I'm gonna share this one on my galleries, so it is the first premiere picture). I recorded myself drawing this painting with my phone, with the time-lapse feature. I think it looked cool, but it was a shame that all the first part was completely out of focus, boo!

That traditional picture was special for me because I got to struggle at first because I needed to do it with watercolors, but I was wanting so badly to use colored pencils once again, I had stopped using colored pencils since I got the arm issue because that technique requires to adda lot of pressure over the paper, something that it was not good for the wrist and I got a pain after it. But this time I decided to try it once again, very carefully, and with the help of my left hand for those parts that I needed to add extra pressure. And it worked very well, despite the first day after stopping working on this it got me some kind of pain on my wrist, I was feeling sad because of this, that maybe I couldn't continue this, but the next day my wrist was not hurting anymore so I tried again, and I could complete it with no pain at all, that makes me feel very happy.

I still need to be very careful with using colored pencils, and It's not a technique I can return right immediately at 100%, but at least I could do something with it again.

So...those are the new changes! What do you think about them? Now this time is a change on Patreon that is not about removing tiers nor reducing rewards, so these are good changes and I'm pretty sure I can achieve them with no problems, it requires the same amount of time that it does for me to submit new art to my galleries, so it's not any problem at all!

And I trust that the art that I share here before time will remain for your eyes and your files only, before any of these came public.

Love you all!! Thank you so much for all your responses, feedback, comments and positivism. I really appreciate it a lot!!

[EDIT]

I forgot to mention about some important plan to do after FWA. No matter what, even when I have tons of things to do and a long queue to complete, I want to start, after FWA, little by little, my new comic of Art and Biro. And I want to be showing sketches and the process of it here on Patreon, as well as premiere pages before anyone else.

Thank you, Runo! Yeah, I had some ideas to draw for Steel, and I ended up doing three drawings for him. I wanted to sketch that second idea before it was too late, and I decided to do it on the same file so that inspiration couldn't escape away. It is indeed Procreate where I work on, I was indeed organizing my layers by folders, on each folder there were at least three layers: Sketch, Lineart and Color. I'm so glad you comment me about my process videos, I'm so happy that someone finds them useful or interesting, I also appreciate when other artists show their process. I learn a lot about it. BTW your drawings are so cool! I love them!

Aww, so adorable! ♥️ And those videos are amazing! I find it so interesting to see that you seem to draw multiple pictures in one drawing(?), and then switch between them mid-process. That’s actually a really nice idea to „get your eyes unstuck“ so you‘ll notice little details that are „off“ again, I guess! And still much easier to share e.g. colours between them. Is that Procreate? Do you just organize your layers for them into multiple folders, and then switch between those? I always worry I‘ll start drawing on one of the wrong layers and notice it too late (and it happens often enough…!), but I guess if you keep only one drawing visible at any time that’s easier to notice. 🤔 Thanks for those anyway, that was great to watch! ♥️
