I'm no airfoil expert by any means but having read a bit around the topic so many people don't explain the importance of angle of attack in generating lift. To read some material, even what I was taught in school, you'd think that a symmetric wing would not fly at all. And yet they provide no explanation as to why a paper plane can go 'up' simply by having its wings folded
