Finishing Norway 1940 - Patron Update
Added 2018-09-07 09:59:44 +0000 UTCHello everyone,
Hope everyone is having a good start to September, and thank you all for your August support. Let's talk about the plans for this month, and looking ahead into the autumn.
I am hoping to have two videos completed this month, which will finally round out the long series on the Norway 1940 campaign. These will be one video on the battles for Trondheim, in Central Norway, and another on the Siege of Narvik. I had thought about covering both of these events as one long video, but the results of a community poll I ran on YouTube indicated that people wanted two separate ones.
The first of these videos is entering the animation stage at the moment, and I'm hoping that it won't take too long (by my standards) to finish off. Scriptwriting for the Narvik video is in its early stages, with the research for both done and dusted.
What's next?
With the conclusion of the Norway 1940 series, I already have a clear idea of what I want to do as the next 'big' project, informed by the poll I ran a while back: it's going to be D-Day.
My plan is going to be to produce a series of videos that run from the build up to D-Day in 1944, all the way to the Battle of the Bulge, where I have already produced a video. This will include videos on Normandy, the breakout, and Operation Dragoon. I am unsure at this point whether a standalone Market Garden video will happen, or if it will be integrated into another. Let me know if you have any thoughts on this.
Alongside this big series, I intend to produce videos that are smaller in scope, so that its not all the same content for months on end. This will include some on the English Civil War as I reboot that series on the Historigraph channel, and some other ideas. I will do a poll for silver patrons and above to have an input on these sometime this month.
As always, let me know any ideas or suggestions, I am always eager to hear any you have.
Cheers,
Josh
