Update 20th November: Videos + New Patron Tiers

Hello all, 

Time for general updates on videos and the new Patron tiers that I was talking about last time. 

Videos 

So as you'll know from earlier patron updates, there are still four videos to be published before Christmas. 

1. Dreadnought: The Battleship that Changed Everything - produced as part of the Operation Odysseus collaboration, this video is done and dusted, awaiting its release on Saturday. Early access for Patrons will be opened on Thursday. 

2. Operation Sealion: Actually Not a Good Idea - This video has finished its research stage and I am moving onto scriptwriting in the morning. Release projected to be Sat Dec 1st.

3 + 4. Overlord 1944 Episode 1 and 2 - the videos on D-Day are in the early research phase. 

New Patron Tiers

Okay so I asked for suggestions and comments on reshaping the patron tiers, and I think I've come up with a setup that I like. The new tiers are going to be styled as 'ranks' onboard the good ship Historigraph, with a variety of new rewards introduced. 

Each higher tier receives the rewards of all those below it. In order, with my explanations, they are: 

$1 Leading Hand: Access to the Patreon Feed, Priority for Questions in Q&As

$5 – Lieutenant: Patron Bookmark [coming 2019], Access to Polls, Early Access to Videos. 

This tier includes all rewards currently available, but I recognise that its $2 more than silver patrons pledge currently to get to vote on videos. It's my intention to find a way to let existing silver patrons continue to vote if they don't want to become a Lieutenant. Not gonna have people lose out. 

I should also clarify what a 'Patron Bookmark' is- this will be a custom bookmark that is sent to you, with a design corresponding to the rank that you decided to pick. Here's a draft example of the kind of thing I mean: https://prnt.sc/lks24u

$10 – Commander: Access to Monthly Patreon Gaming Session; Access to First Draft Scripts with opportunity to feed into development.

$20 – Captain: Access to in-depth analysis livestream/video where I discuss a video’s content/topic in much more detail than is possible in the video itself.  

$50 – Rear Admiral: Free copy of all infographic posters I produce [coming 2019], access to my research notes for each video. 

Okay so I should explain what I mean by 'infographic poster'. So I am intending in the new year to look into producing wall posters all about a battle, or the content of a video. It would have maps, stats, concise information all presented in a visually appealing way. These would be sold on a merch store, but one copy of each would be free for each Flag Officer. I don't yet have an example for these as it will need some serious design work. 

$200 – Admiral: Commission a Historigraph documentary on a topic of your choice, and be named as its sponsor. 

$500 – Admiral of the Fleet [Only 1 Available] This tier is here for anyone who wants the ultimate rank and prestige of being top of the tree, with the coolest rank known to maritime warfare. You'd have to be mad to pick it!

What do you think? If you have any comments or other suggestions for what I should do, then please please let me know. Even if its that you feel any of the rewards are unspectacular, I definitely want to hear feedback now and not in a couple of weeks when I introduce the new tiers.
