Progress Update: Gunnerside, Greece, Baltic

Hi everyone!

So something important (and good) to say right at the top- there is going to be a new video next Saturday 21st March!

This is only two weeks after the last, and hopefully marks the start of more frequent content. It's not necessarily going to be every two weeks (at least while I remain in a full time job), but hopefully more regular.

On an admin point this will mean a second charge from Patreon this month; hopefully this isn't a problem after two barren months :))

Operation Gunnerside

This is the video for the 21st; the story of a commando raid on a heavy water plant in occupied Norway; to put a dent in the German Atomic programme.

There's a couple of behind-the-scenes picutres at the top of this post from the animation stage.

About to start narration and animation process on this one.

Greece

Am very much wanting to do a series on this- currently struggling to find good books on the conflict at the moment, so research is going to be a bit of a slow burn.

Baltic

Also started reading a great new book on naval operations in the Baltic immediately after the end of WW1. Potentially a video in this, will know more in a few weeks.

As always, let me know feedback and ideas you have for future content.

Another book I’d recommend is “Order of Battle: Western Allied Forces of World War II”

Thanks for the links - I will look into them. So far stuff on Crete has been easiest to find, but much less about on the initial Italian/Greece conflict

Anyways I really do think some of the early war North Africa stuff like Operation Compass or Sonneblume would make a good follow up to the Greek/Crete campaign videos. And as far as more naval stuff I'd recommend "The German Fleet at War 1939-1945" as a must read

"The Lost Battle" by Callum MacDonald is a good one for Crete. And also this UK military series that covers the 1941 Balkan campaign https://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/UN/UK/UK-Med-II/index.html
