November Update!

Hi everyone!

This weekend I'll be publishing the next video, on the Battle of the Falkland Islands. It's the sequel to the video on Coronel from September.

This tells the story of the Royal Navy's eventual destruction of Spee's squadron about a month after this victory over Admiral Cradock. 4 German ships were sunk amid heavy loss of life. 90% of the sailors who fought at Coronel ended had been killed by the end of December 8 1914.

What makes this video different is that I've decided to do a second video on it, which will focus on the pursuit by the British forces of the German light cruisers after Spee's main force was sunk.

These engagements led to bravery and fortitude that was pretty remarkable, and I wanted to make sure I told it in full. Been honestly quite affected by some of the stories that I read while doing research.

You'll be pleased to know though, I'm not going to be asking you all to wait the usual length before this 'bonus' video. All being well, it's going to be released this Thursday 11th November!

This is armistice day, and this video (particularly the last section) will be my own way of commemorating the sacrifice and loss of all those who died on both sides at Coronel and the Falklands.

There are a lot of small details that I've read that haven't quite made it into the final video (for time), so I'm thinking about ways in future I can talk about those- perhaps livestreams?

Once the 'Pursuit of the Light Cruisers' video is complete, there will be at least one more video this year, around Christmas.

So if you have any topics/suggestions, please let me know!
