End of May Update

Hi everyone!

Just thought I would do a quick update to close off the momentous month of May. It's been a couple of weeks since I announced I would be trying to turn Historigraph into a full-time business, and I've been honestly really touched with the reaction to it. May has been one of the best months for new pledges and patrons for a number of years, and I'm very grateful to you all for your support.

The first Malaya video - on the sinking of Repulse and Prince of Wales was published this month and has been a really encouraging success. 150k views in a week is a really strong performance considering the channel had been silent for the preceding 5 months - the algorithm has happily done us a favour.

Looking ahead, in just under a week I'm aiming to publish the second video on the Malayan series. This will focus on the preparations on land, and the initial Japanese landings at Kota Bharu.

One thing I will say here is that the early access period for this video is likely to be quite short- probably only a day or two. The reason for this is that I've been on a long-planned vacation (domestic, not abroad!) for the last week or so, so I still have to complete the videos animation. This will take most of the week, and it coincides with the last couple of weeks of my work at Paradox- so I'm going to be very busy.

Once that video is completed and published and I've finished at PDX (on June 11), then we'll really get going on lots of my other projects like the twitch channel and things on the discord.
