Forrestal Fire Video now in Early Access + Vietnam series update!

Hello everyone!

It's finally almost finished. The Forrestal video which has been in the works since *checks notes* May 15th is finished.

Well, nearly. There will probably be a couple of tweaks here and there before the full release, but the video is now available for viewing in early access for Silver and Gold Patrons

If any bronze patrons wanted to upgrade in order to be able to see it, that would be really great. Its taken hundreds of hours of work from me, our animator Lund and artist Chris to get the video complete. We don't have a sponsor for it, so we're a bit reliant on the support of you all (and the lottery of the youtube algorithm) to get much of a return on it.

I'm happy though to do justice to this historical event - its another one where I think we've made the definitive account of it on YouTube, which is something which makes us all very proud- and should make you all proud too for funding its creation.

The vietnam series is continuing production apace. In fact at the end of next week I should be able to put episode 1 into early access, and we're getting torwards beginning animation on episode 2 quite soon as well.

There's been a tweak to the schedule for this series though (isn't there always). We're not going to cover the entire Vietnam war before Christmas, as there is too much to do to give it all the attention it deserves. The current thinking is to finish the series for 2023 around the entry of US troops into Vietnam and the initial fighting 1965-67.

I had been hoping to get a video on the Tet offensive out in December, but there would need to be a big research phase to cover all the events of that year, so at the moment I think that will appear in the winter of 2024- but I will keep you updated.

Elsewhere I am keen to not have the channels content be entirely Vietnam focused from now till Christmas, so we're working on some other more naval focused videos to be published alongside them

First up in production are a pair of short(ish) videos on the First and Second Battles of Narvik in 1940, and then we'll be looking for something big and dramatic to close out the year.

I'll update you all on this more as the plan develops more.
