YUGO Updates & Other stuff

What's good everybody? I've got some exciting extras & updates for you all!

Make sure to check out the massive post from yesterday with VRChat Experience 7 intro behind the scenes content!

In this post I'll cover the current car(s) situation and my plans, share some extras & clips from videos I published and more!

First of all, we are hiring!

You can find more information on our discord server and it's mostly editing gig opportunities. I'm still going to continue editing my videos on the main channel myself but I think it'd be great to get some help with other channels & short form content. If the channels do well, it'd allow me to do more cool stuff in general.

(more vrchat videos coming soon btw)

In the other news, I made a bluesky account. I don't have any specific plans just yet but I figured it's a right choice. My handle at the moment is @jameskii.pizza and the other Jameskii account with 2k followers is not me.

Now let's chat about the YUGOs! (oh no)

I got some upsetting news - Turns out we got scammed for over $1000 by a Croatian store. They purposely sent us wrong parts & stalled out the shipment, to make it harder to handle the chargeback process. I've had multiple people reach out to me and sharing the same story about that shop, despite me not naming them in the video. I will talk more about this in an upcoming video, for now let's focus on more exciting news...

As you may already know I currently own 2 YUGOs, one regular YUGO and one unique prototype one. I want to cover the situation to do with the two and my plans for this year (without major spoilers).

This February I plan to begin restoring the prototype YUGO, I've inspected it and on surface it seems to be feasible. The repair manuals don't really exist and information for it is extremely limited but I have contacts with the right people who'd be able to assist me with it. It reuses a lot of parts from the regular YUGO and I'm misfortunate enough to know the majority of it inside-out by now.

I will document the restoration process and optimistically, I should be able to get it up and running this Spring, together with a video about it. Unless the car has some sort of severe issues with the drivetrain of course.

In that video I will fully reveal more details about this obscure prototype, you wouldn't believe what does it actually look like.

In the same video I plan to restore Jerry & the destroyed laptop. I've already printed the new parts for our little skeleton friend and know my plan for the laptop. I'm extremely excited about it!

While I'm restoring the prototype YUGO and saving up money for new car parts, a professional race shop will help me with modifying the main YUGO chasis for a new drivetrain setup. I don't want to spoil anything and all I can say for now is that it's currently just in the planning phase. It's gonna be very expensive but your support on patreon and patreon shop has been helping a lot!

Speaking of which, I've added the "destroyed" names to the cannon remains and made them in red, I think it looks hilarious lol.

Moving forward I've discounted the cannon names 50% due to the damage to the cannon. Existing names will be in bold white color, destroyed names will be in red and new names will likely be in yellow or some other color.

I think it'd be a great way to highlight the original supporters and those who chose to support us via cannon name purchase, despite the cannon being rendered unusable lol.

I'm not sure what we gonna do with it but maybe I'll 3D print the other half and merge it together with metal piece or just leave it as is. We will see.

Also, I did record a little behind the scenes / analysis of why the cannon went skadoosh + showed other camera angles to my friends. It's most likely to end up in the upcoming prototype YUGO restoration video but if it doesn't fit there, then I'm gonna publish it separately because it's super funny and interesting.

Before I begin working on the prototype YUGO I need to structure some plans & schematics for the upgraded main YUGO chasis and finish a few videos I've been working on.

In non-particular order these are the upcoming main channel videos that should hopefully come out this February or Spring -

Later today or this week I will go through the deleted scenes from GTA video and see if I can publish them on Discord.

I will have more patreon posts coming soon, especially as I begin working on prototype YUGO! I'm extremely excited and I can't wait for you to see what I've been cooking.

Thanks again for your support and I'll see you soon!
