September Update - Rewards.

Hello all, halfway through September, I hope we're all hanging in there!

Since we're nearing the end of the year in a few months, this update I'm bringing in is about how rewards are going to operate for the remainder of the year, and what you should expect out of the new system next year!

As you all may remember from my previous update, I will officially be retiring the Patreon Points Reward System next year to make way for a new system to follow for the 2023 year. 

With all the work that points system created, among other things that happened in 2021 that made it difficult to get them out, the new system I'm adopting is planned to make things a little easier for me in the event something happens where I'm unable to get things out on time.

But before we get to that, allow me to update you on how current rewards are going to go for the remaining days of 2022.

As it turns out, due to my tooth infection, I kinda missed 2 months of updating points in general, so at this current moment I've updated the points trello, so most of you should be at max points!

As you know you can use your points to obtain rewards or cameos in the comic depending on how much you have, but with 2023 slowly crawling closer, you'll have another option so you can use up your points, and any other amount remaining for the next few months, as the points rewards system will officially be closed on December 31, 2022.

At this time, I'm urging everyone to use their points as much as possible to clear out their cards! In addition to this, you may notice I updated the trello with a section called "2022 Remaining." This section will be used for the last of the 2022 rewards under the points system, and 20 slots are available for you to claim rewards!

In addition to this section, I am also allowing you to add the last few months remaining points, right off the bat (Thats enough to max you out twice depending on your tier!)

And there's more! If you don't want to redeem your points for rewards, I'll also be allowing you to take your remaining points, and put them towards the new rewards system no matter what tier you are!

The reason I have decided this is to get prepared for the new system as soon as possible, so I wanted to give everyone the incentive to clear out points right away. This means you SHOULD be able clear your cards so I can edit them for the 2023 year as I'll be making updates to those to fit the new system they will be going under.

So if you would like to add the rest of the year's points to your cards to use after you've placed down your rewards, or put them to the new system next year, please let me know!! 

The New System - Currently a Work in Progress.

January 5th, 2023 the new system will go into effect. With this new system, I will also be adopting it for Ko-fi members as well so they can both follow the same incentive.

The new rewards system is planned to return to the older model I had when I first made my Patreon, but with an improved motive to help get rewards out with an easier workload to attend to.

In this case, I'm to reveal I'm returning to the Stacking System! With this model in mind, the stacking system allows you to have your rewards set to you right off the bat! No need to collect points! It will all depend on the tier you are currently on, which will also be readjusted to fit my current commission price sheet as well.

Under the stacking system of rewards, you can choose to redeem your monthly rewards, or hold onto it to build onto the next month. For example, if you are on a tier that allows you an inked reward, you can hold it to the following month and redeem it for a flat color or add an additional character, background etc.! And as you're holding that flat color reward, you can keep holding it to build into a full color and so forth!

"What if I want to add an additional character to my reward or add a background?"
As your reward stacks, you will be given options available for what you can add to your reward. I already plan on having additional characters and backgrounds easier to collect right off the bat to make it fair, but otherwise, these type of rewards, at base, will start off as one character, simple background rewards. The new spreadsheet for these options will also be available on your Patreon Trello Cards, so you can update these additions as soon as your rewards are made available. For now though, these are currently still a work in progress.

"What if I want to use my rewards for a cameo in the webcomic?"
Unfortunately, I will be keeping cameo rewards to the cameo tier only. You will still get the cameo's that you used your points on for Act 5, but going forward, after the new system goes into effect, you will only be able to get cameos on that tier. However!! You can use your 2022 points towards cameos for future chapters if you like! Just make sure you place your rewards as a Cameo for Act 6 and up in "2022 Remaining"  when you do, so I know where to put you in once you've requested them!

Commission discounts will also be making a return and will be tier based to follow Ko-fi's model!

Wrapping up.

Currently, this is all that is in the works. As I develop the stacking system a little  more I'll give out updates on how the new stacking system can work for you. But the point of it is to make it easier for you to use while keeping it simple when reedeming rewards.

The new system, will also only be available for rewards at certain tiers, so there will also be changes to tier rewards and what amount you would patron to obtain them as well.

First things first though, I still need to finish current rewards so....work in progress!
