He can tell us so much from reading the landscape, yet he seems to often only get the footnotes. Now, I don't know how much he manages to actually find for every episode, but it would also be interesting listening to him how he is working when interpreting the landscape and its use over time. How about a Stewart Ainsworth special where he gets to talk about his favourite work and locations?

Various different periods of history are covered, even prehistory. Quite a few are just examples of homes from different periods, so you feel really close to the lives of the people who lived there.
