It's been another busy day on site. Over to Helen and Richard for the lowdown on Day Five!

I was puzzled ..

good point

If this segment (or parts of it) will be used for "official" (non-patreon) presentation, maybe s.o. might correct "Helen McKinley" @ 1:31...? :o)

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I really appreciate the drone footage of individual trenches. As an untrained person, I often find it difficult or impossible to see the differences in soil colour that people point out as indicative of particular features. These long shots show them up so much more clearly, enhancing my understanding.

This Dig Watch has been the best. Love the ongoing commentary versus the silence of the livestreams. Thank you!!!

JanD

Seeing that rusted knife laying in the plastic container, without being supported in the middle, gave me the willies!

Greg Edmand

Quite interesting. Thanks for taking us along.

Vann Cunningham

Thanks for another dig watch. These are getting better and better.

Eelco Kruidenier

Very well done. Informative

Warren Feldman MD

Great to see Naomi again, thanks for these Dig Watch episodes.

Jude Edling

Excellent summary.

Difort

Yes!!

Bron Lloyd

This for me is the BEST Dig Watch that we’ve had. Wonderful stuff and Helen and Richard are brilliant.

Threshing Pit ? Low external wall, central pivot post/stone

Seriously, the editing on this latest round of videos is amazing! It captures the style of a real episode. I feel like I'm watching a normal episode of Time Team, except almost-live!

KP

I'm really enjoying these dig watches. Thanks so much for sharing the day by day.

DIANA R NELSON

Thank you, everyone. I'm enjoying watching this.

Patricia Amero

Can't wait for day 6. So much going on in a relatively smal area. Keep up the good work. Who is doing the editing? Such great work in such a shorts time.

Mikael Larsson

Fascinating-looking forward to see if the team can figure out what that round building was used for on site 2.

Anita C

Hahahahahaha. I see what you did there

Mark Gaither

Helen McKinley and Jackie Geake are two of our favourite experts!

Time Team

Thanks for another great update! Fascinating archaeology 👍

I really enjoy these episodes of Dig Watch! Really informative and fun to watch! Time Team is getting better with each Dig.

Ingrid Mayer

I didn’t know Jacki has a twin sister named Helen 😂 a slight on-screen label error when Helen and Jacki discuss the child burial site.

Mark Gaither

Glad to see the weather is giving everyone a chance to work in dryer conditions. Oh and that knife in the burial looks amazing for having been in the ground for as long as it has. Looking forward to seeing what trench two will tell us about the Roman structure.

Carl Johnson

I like that the 3 day restriction can be lifted from time to time to give a site a more thoughrough look. It has paid off on this dig

John Keady

Helen and Richard make a JOLLY good team! Very interesting.

Susie Stockton-Link

I need to know what that pink stone is! Lol

Terri Brown

The plot thickens. Romano British roundhouse? An industrial site, possible kiln, something to do with Derek's iron working. Can’t wait to see what conclusions the team come to.

Richard Lowe-Jackson

Love Helen's odd socks!

Fiona Ducrey

We're really enjoying this week's updates. Great production quality too, for quick-turnaround content. Great work!
