I think the director was saying something about the character being pulled between two powerful women .. The final scene had me thinking about the titanic when Rose discards jack once the fantasy of the titanic ended.. Harley Quinn pushes author down the stairs to the cops when Author try’s to sink the fantasy of the joker.. Harley Quinn kills Author in a symbolic way so the joker can be realised. I apologise I was also stoned and paid no attention to the songs or words in the songs if I’m honest. ✌️
