Didn't fall off the face of the Earth again
Added 2023-09-27 16:31:54 +0000 UTCI've just been busting ass on trying to finish Cold Light (The Cold At The Heart of the Light, my novel about a supervillain trying to save her nemeses' mentor's baby.) I did really well in the earlier part of the month, but work obligations and other stuff has been taking more of my time in the latter half.
I don't know if posting a novel to your Patreon impairs your ability to get it traditionally published. I've seen some short story markets saying "we don't want this unless it's never appeared anywhere online ever, including Patreon", so I don't want to take the risk and post everything I've got here, but I'd love to post the first few chapters. Think I already did post 1 and 2, but I'll probably repost them.
I'm still on the first draft, so I'm indulging in my desire to engage in worldbuilding tangents all over the place and introducing characters who appear in other stories I've written or planned and so on. All that shit's gotta go when I get to the second draft, so if I do post the whole thing on Patreon, it will be significantly different by the time I send it off to an agent.
Anyway, I will get back to posting 52 Projects and backstages in October.
