Viridian Awakening - Part VII

Here is the latest update. This has been a crazy month, from walking the first few steps in exactly three years, to getting the Viridian Dreams web host hacked for a few days, to saying "hello" to gout again.
But I'm exiting the month better than I entered, so it's all good!
I'd like to take a moment to dedicate this update to my father, John Schocke, whose birthday is today. He's one of the primary people responsible for getting me into reading (and eventually writing) at a very young age. I still remember that metal bookshelf of Heinlein paperbacks in his garage. I'm pretty sure if it wasn't for his example, none of you would be reading this, or any of my fanfiction.
So, happy birthday Dad!
