You may have noticed something a little different about the last post at the end of May. Namely, I forgot to check the little box that says, "charge for this post". And I didn't notice it until I got close to zero money from Patreon this month.

Now, I could give a lot of excuses for my oversight, like being upset about the NoFP deletion, lack of sleep, gout flare-up, etc... but those would all be just that: excuses.

The truth is, I screwed up and I'm sorry. Given the number of posts I've made over the years, it's a little amazing it's taken this long for me to blow one.

Self-flagellation aside, the next question is what am I going to do about it. I can't just eat this one, as my income here is a piece of our monthly budget. (Yes, my wife is a wee bit annoyed at me right now.)

I think the fairest thing would be to charge for this post. That way, when I post the June update later on this month, you will be billed twice (once for May and once for June). Does that seem fair to everyone? Please comment below one way or the other.

Again, I am sorry I didn't bill correctly for May. I hope people see this post and don't just cancel when they see two charges for June.
