I'd like to take a moment to acknowledge the work of Linkin Park, which I was listening to quite a bit as I composed the first (very rough) draft of this section. Their song "In the End" could be a soundtrack for much of the action here. A moment of silence for Chester Bennington, please.

Have you ever considered posting it to a forum-style site, like SpaceBattles or Sufficient Velocity? You wouldn't have quite the same tools for tracking statistics, but it's great for community engagement and discussion. Could potentially replace most of the current Viridian Dreams forums.
