Because we are deviating heavily from Canon, we get to explore some things that are only briefly mentioned in passing, like image consultation and power testing.
Glenn Chambers in canon seems to be pretty good at reading people, so in this he gives Rhiyen some good advice he seems likely to take.
Runsamok, who does a lot of the Taylor POV sections (just like she voiced Karen in Rhiyen's Deal), gives us a detailed look at Weaver's capabilities.
