Sor Juana x Martina Chapanay

Hey everyone here’s something I made for myself. This is a ship Mei and I made up while sharing stories from historical heroes from our countries. These are Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (left) and Martina Chapanay (right). Sor Juana was a mexican writer and philosopher born in 1648. She was a lesbian feminist that at a very young age, aware that she was born in the wrong century, decided to become a nun to escape from marriage and dedicate her life to her poems. Martina Chapanay was an argentine cowboy born in 1800, she as well as Sor Juana was born in the wrong century. Defying gender roles Chapanay did anything a male cowboy could do. Beginning as a robber she end up defending Argentina and being an important leader at the military.

Even if they were born 2 centuries appart we think they’d fall in love.

I just checked and there is too little info in English about Chapanay. About sor Juana, she won the poll for january so it will be a comic about her soon. She’s in the mexican $200 bill
