Sorry I've been a little quiet this week, I honestly feel the need to take a break every once in a while. I have a lot going on music-wise though so I'm ready to get back into the swing of things!
This week's track is another classic Future Funk-inspired jam! I may have mentioned this last week, but I'm a bit of a French House nerd, so going back and hearing the Future Funk classics is a really new and interesting experience for me. I find the mixing on a lot of those Future Funk tracks inspiring in how they highlight the best aspects of those songs for me, mainly the drums and bass. It's a really interesting way of going about sampling, which is different from the chop-heavy French Electro style I'm used to.

I really enjoy the production on this record! The impact of the drum and bass, loud mixing, and the short length of the project is something I want to try out for myself. I'm working on getting a short and punchy Future Funk EP done as a little side project while I work on my next album. It'll contrast nicely with that project, where I'm planning on having lots of original instrumentation and guest vocalists on.
