Here's my remastered take on my recent collab with Mélonade. As I mentioned in the MP3 post, this version of the track was made especially for Spotify and for the vinyl pressing of Splash! I didn't mention, however, exactly what I changed. But I can go through that with you guys!
The main thing I changed for this track when remixing / mastering it was the sample, as previously it was lacking a lot of high end and just sounding really dull. I added back a lot of that high end, which I feel gives the track a bit more life. I switched up the ending (which was actually Mélonade's request) and I especially did a lot of work to the breakdown at 2:01. For starters, I added a subtle synthesizer to fill up that section a bit more, then made the sample that comes in at 2:09 more prominent. I also redid the master chain, to make the track sound a bit fuller. And that should be about it!
Hope you guys enjoy this new take on the track! I think it's sounding way better, and I can't wait to get this up on Spotify!
