Small SNAFU regarding Patreon Merch Fullfillment
Added 2022-03-10 17:24:20 +0000 UTCHey all! There’s been some difficulties in setting up Patreon’s loyalty program for physical merch and I wanted to take a second and lay it all out for you PLUS what I’m doing to fix it.
Firstly, the loyalty program is the Patreon end of merch that sends the CG miniprints to Uptown and Galleria patrons as they’re completed beginning once these patrons have made pledges for 3 months.
- Problem #1: the loyalty program was not correctly set up when I launched Patreon, meaning that the 3 month time did not start ticking for the Patrons who were here with us at the beginning.
- Problem #2: When I correctly set up the loyalty program during February’s billing cycle I made the discovery that I can’t set the timer on the loyalty program back, it simply starts when it's “turned on” and that’s that.
- Problem #3: I can’t issue additional merch one-offs to tiers with the loyalty program active and I just discovered this this week.
So, going forward, I’ll be releasing merch via Patreon manually instead of through their loyalty program. Additionally, there are a few of you who are eligible for miniprints right now and I’ll be issuing those this week so you should see them in your mailboxes in a week or two.
As a bonus to make this better, I have a few patrons who are overdue for their first mini print. In addition to their Mori cgi mini print, I’m also going to send a 4x4” die cut sticker of the OG Tri City Logo to prove you’ve been here from the very beginning. That logo will not be around much longer and will only be associated with Mori and Amir’s “beta” chapter development.
Related: I’ve also decided that because we’re so close to our second community goal of 25 patrons to go ahead and begin talks with a professional designer to get the game's “real” logo done. I’ll reveal the identity of the artist in an upcoming post :D
So! As a matter of course, please make sure your physical shipping addresses are updated and I'll reach out to patrons individually if there's any issues. Thanks for your understanding, I'm hoping to be as transparent as possible with issues like this and HOPEFULLY this is the end of my physical merch difficulties.
