Slime Time!

This is my original sketch over Atlas' sprite work. We had some technical conversations about how Akello's goo works and how that would seep through clothing before I was totally happy with a visual vibe that I thought suited his powers. We both liked the look of ferrofluid and other magnetized liquids as inspiration- its shiny and has a great mix of rigid, spikey parts and drippiness with the right amount of viscosity.
Conceptually, Atlas came back with this first as a strong whack at Akello somewhere between fully human and fully demonic.
Now that we're marinating on these things, Saturday's post will show you the full body slime overlay that Atlas has been busting their butt on. :)
