What happened at Warhammer Fest 2023

A couple of things occur to me as I watch this fantastic roundup: 1. I can't attend anything at present due to health concerns with my son, but I remember going to Games Day '98 and being massively intimidated by the queues there (also by other people because I was one of those kids)... it's a shame that slimming down the offer means I'd have been confronted with the same problem I had 25 years ago, when just opening up some tables from other games would have helped. When I used to work in the Brent Cross store, we sent staff and a games table to every Games Day to help run games for people during the day... and 2. I love the team of people we've got to know through YouTube and Warhammer+... they're all brilliant. But honestly, does Ben ever give anything less than his whole self?! The man must be permanently exhausted! He reminds me of a lot of friends I made at Games Workshop, but with 10 times the energy levels...

Neverwhere

Looks like it was fun, but I understand the frustrations - GW staff are always excellent at events (or at least the HH weekenders) but leadership always underestimates demand.

A great little missed opportunity btw from fest. I was playing the underworlds event on saturday, and could not go to the underworlds preview since that was while i had to play match like 66 other people that would have loved to see that 😅

I feel really inspired after going on Saturday. Yes the queues where bad but the love for the hobby was amazing to see and be a part of.

It was great meeting so many people who inspire me in the hobby, I came home eager to paint after seeing all of the amazing golden demon entries.

I think your energy throughout this video is kind of reflective of what made the weekend, not just bearable, but enjoyable: the people. The floor staff were awesome. I queued on Monday morning for a demo of 10th & Simon was seemingly still full of beans, his excitement to be showing the new edition still there for all to see. Oh, and the premium tickets were actually £140 each, unless I was overcharged XD

Great video. It was my first time going and I have to admit, it would have been disappointment if it not for the community. Getting to see everyone from my YouTube feed in real life was mind blowing. I spent most of my event with the Cosplay crowd who were lovely. It was also great to meet you in person! Although I did almost miss you as I was so excited to meet Rob XD

Was ace fun for the same reasons! Just enjoyed seeing everyone
