2026-03-03 03:57:49 +0000 UTCYeah, didnt he swear off being overconfident after the sect attack that nearly killed him? Reads like he's making the same mistake again.

2026-02-09 03:58:32 +0000 UTCI bet authors Excel spreadsheets for tracking everyone’s points and progress look completely unhinged. 😭

2026-02-08 20:36:10 +0000 UTCThe only suistanable way to gain points off low-talent members is to force them to learn hundreds of techniques. One way is to provide hundreds of free techniques necessary for simple tasks like cooking, sweeping, or perhaps construction work. Setting a high cost for using the Pagoda of Trials is reasonable, considering it's one person per day. You could also add a requirement to learn numer of new techniques to use the Pagoda of Trials, to prove you're making progress on your own and not just profiting off the sect.

2026-02-08 19:44:49 +0000 UTCI mean, the biggest expenditures of points are one time costs, right? Benton spent a ton to get himself stronger, but that's done. Then he spent a ton making a variety of cultivation methods and techniques, but those are now made - and there's no limit to how many people can use one technique. He still makes custom techniques for people he finds valuable, and he'll need to make some more generic techniques if he expands to people of different elements, but those costs are small potatoes compared to what he could accomplish if he simply expanded widely. That is, make 5x generic methods for the five most common elements for a pittance, then recruit 10,000 randos - your profit is basically 10,000/stage of cultivation, and that includes body, soul, and mind cultivation using methods already paid for. Your average loyalty will go down, but that's less important right now anyway.
