June 2019 Patch Release [Patch #15]
Added 2019-07-07 02:16:02 +0000 UTCHey everyone, it's time for this month's patch release! I know it's a bit late, and I apologize for that. I was away for a week for personal reasons. Anyways, this patch isn't the largest but it does have some great changes! I won't be going in depth with this month's changes because the code changes I worked on are honestly uninteresting.
Changes:
- K.K. Slider now accepts English song names! Due to what I believe are cursor positional constraints, song names are still limited to 10 characters. This will (hopefully) be fixed in July's patch release! This also means that the villager catchphrase entry menu textbox will also be 7 characters long then!
- More villager delivery completion dialog translated.
- Completed villager "fetch X furniture for me" quest dialog.
- Half of villager "lost item quest" dialog is now translated.
- Islander emotion dialog is completely translated (mad, happy, sad).
In total, 446 dialogs were translated this month. The remaining text is much heavier and longer to translate, so there will likely be fewer than 1,000 dialog months in the future.
Next month's patch will primarily focus on code changes. I want to fix the oddities that are code related, and try to finish up programming the new title (quite a massive undertaking)! There's also a chance that villager sickness dialog will be completed thanks to PommeVanille as well!
