Smolder Scrolls 2! Cover & process

For this round of Smolder Scrolls, I wanted the cover to be more intimate and related to the content. So please enjoy my good good sketch garbage whilst I vaguely intended to come up with ideas:
to be fair, the first page has some goofy nonsense-
I considered for a brief moment including an apple/apple tree motif in the 2d embellishments, but ultimately decided it wasn't relevant. Keeping the two characters close, but holding hands and/or doing a version of "The Kiss" wasn't quite right. I pose at the end, very similar to the ones at the end of the story worked best?
THE PENCILS! Couldn't find the font that I referenced for the first cover? AH WELL, I think this font worked just as well. When I was pencilling, I thought about ending the gold-ish frame (on the right) at a higher point, later decided it looks better to continue down and off the page.
Had to make some changes on the inks, mostly a little cleaning, making sure Ullrath was making eye contact with Autumn. Makes more sense than them staring at her mouth haha! Wanted to make sure Ullrath's hair looked good and sleek!

My partner suggested changing the solid back of Smolder Scrolls to color, to make it less heavy in the composition, a good choice in my opinion! Kept the colors on the background from the more muted colors (in the last scene) and kept the colors on Autumn and Ullrath more vibrant (from the smoochin' scenes!). Tried to adjust the colors of their clothes for it. I'm pretty proud of how it came out. :3
