Empress of Thieves 3: Pages 27 & 28

hmm hmmm hmmm. Ya ever feel as though you have a really great idea and then in execution it doesn't quite work out as well as you thought? Some of these panels (p. 27 no.4 and p.28 no.s 2,4,&5) I had originally thought would look really cool and dynamic with stark white in the backgrounds, maybe having an unearthly kind of feel to them. But, it just looked kind of anti-climatic in practice, since the "SACRILEGE" speech bubbles were just entirely lost with the white background... So I kinda went with the color it has now, after a number of revisions that were "the right choice" until I did another pass on them.

And the Elks were fun to draw, but my patience ran a little thin when it came to coloring, since I had more or less figure out their fur patterns and whatnot at that point. I hope these pages work as intended though, nothing quite like getting held up in a forest by a bunch of very, very dumb, but also very, very BIG strong elks. oof

ONLY 3 pages and then the cover for this issue though! It'll nice to have another issue completed! I've already put together some reference materials for the next town and hope you'll enjoy the next issue! Which I am realizing I need to thumbnail out soon here oh jeez
