Progress Report #3: Triple X-Com Resource System & Delay (a rather personal note)

First of all, thank you for your continuous support. 💖 Creating these big teases takes a lot of time and effort, so you guys are a huge motivation to keep going.

To get some bad news off my chest, Triple X-Com won't be ready this month. I feel like I owe you an explanation. My father had a heart attack and is currently in the hospital, awaiting surgery. Chances are good that it will turn out fine, but I am on the move a lot right now and - honestly - have trouble finding the right mindset to keep writing for the time being. I hope that's understandable.

But I still want to present you some of my progress:

The Resources in Triple X-Com

I have already mentioned 🧰debris a lot in my last progress reports. It can be collected to build up the base and unlock new features. It's the most important resource to progress with the story.

But there are also 💳credits. Those are a bit easier to find and are needed to buy various things. Here are a few examples:
- Medical Treatment in the medbay of your base
- Equipment, like better armor
- Special opportunities during a mission. Maybe you will encounter a elusive trader on the alien planet once in a while.

Besides those "material" resources, you also have to manage your ⚡energy. During combat, you can use it to attack and use special abilities. If you don't handle your energy well, you will have to take a pause during combat or even need to take a nap inbetween encounters. Which can be dangerous, with all those strange lifeforms lurking in the shadows.

And there is 🧡health of course. I don't have to lecture you about that. Your current body might die when it drops to zero, but that is not the end of the game. Your medic - Dr. Yuffie - has installed very powerful cybernetics in your head that allow her to reassemble you in the medbay with only a slow margin of error.

For the moment, I can't give you a new estimate for the demo or full release. But I keep working on the tease, even though I can't dedicate as much into it as I'm used to for now. This is still my favorite project afterall.
