Progress Report #5: New demo version

Hey all,

I hope you are all healthy and survived No Nut November unscathed. The holidays are approaching, which means that I will have 3 weeks with more free time than usual. And I already know where I will sink most of that time. 😁


Triple X-COM: Demo Version 2

First of all, thank you for all of the feedback. During the last two weekends, I've tried to work on all the things you have suggested. Those were some busy days and I still haven't included everything I wanted, yet. Here is a list of changes.

Changelog:
- Every mission takes 1 "day". This will be important in the final game. It gives a new incentive to unlock and do harder missions instead of "short missions" all the time.
- "Wishing Well" special encounter added. There might be some secrets to be found.
- Reduced the possible savefiles from 3 to 2 for technical reasons.
- 💀Bosses (the last encounter per mission) can use new powerful attacks now.
- Rebalanced 💳 gain and costs. More difficult mission are more profitable now.
- Added more "ball" tasks. (squeezes, massages, slaps, ...)
- Added some more text - randomization.
- Made the task where you have to count your edges a bit shorter.
- More different bad endings. Giving in to the aliens can result in denial or maybe even a small chance of a full orgasm.
- Added a "skip" button to the Mission-Lost scene. (not available in tutorial mission)
- Added random intensity for some stroke and cbt tasks.
- The final "donation" scene with Abby can be repeated now.
- "Meditation" skill can be unlocked now. (might be pretty hidden)


Plans for December

Currently, I'm focusing on adding more special encounters. Progress has been a bit slow on this front because they turn out to become more in-depth than I've imagined.

Balancing is another big topic. I think that the combat system is already very close to what I've envisioned. But I'm also working on an "unfair mode", which will amp up the difficulty by throwing instant-loss tasks at you. It will be completely optional, of course.

There will be one final demo version during the holidays.

If everything goes well, the tease will be complete by the end of this year. But that's a big if. I still tend to underestimate the amount of work some features take. So I better don't make any promises.
