Version 2 - Custom Attributes
Added 2019-02-21 08:53:37 +0000 UTCOne of the most requested features in DiceCloud is the ability to add your own stats to your character. The stats that DiceCloud currently supports are almost all of the stats that could be acquired by characters using the player's handbook only, but not all of those are accounted for.
What if your character gets a flying speed? What if your campaign uses honor as an ability score? What if you home-brew a "rocks fall" saving throw to preempt an angry DM? What if you'd like to separate level 2 Wizard spell slots from level 2 Warlock spell slots?
One of the main reasons for creating the upcoming Version 2 update of DiceCloud is to make this possible. By having a complete re-architecture of how DiceCloud stores and computes characters, a whole world of character and system customization is unlocked.
Every attribute, stat, or skill can now be added, edited, or even deleted if you don't need it.
Here's an example of adding Honor as an ability score. Once a new ability score is added, it works the same as any of the other scores, you can even have saving throws and skills based off of it, or include it in your calculations.

And finally a big thanks to all the new Patrons contributing to the Version 2 development fund. The extra support goes directly into allowing me more time to work on this exciting update.

Absolutely cannot wait for this. Running a game with Sanity as a 7th ability score right now. Having to run all Sanity related checks and saves as a simple d20+mod roll via Avrae. Will be awesome to have this automated.

2019-02-23 04:43:11 +0000 UTCConsidering how many people in my campaign have Tools, Tools, and More Tools (plus fly or swim speeds), this had my eyes sparkling when I read it.
