DiceCloud Version 2 Beta Launch!

Today is the day, DiceCloud version 2 is going into beta.

Available for all Patrons pledging $5 or more, version 2 beta is launching with most of the functionality promised for v2, and will be continually updated until the official launch for everyone, for free.

Version 2 beta invite slots

The tiers for this Patreon page have changed, with higher tiers now offering invite slots.

Invite slots allow you to invite your friends to use paid DiceCloud features, without needing to pay themselves. Right now, that means access to the DiceCloud beta, however the invitation system isn't quite ready, but will be up and running in a few days.

Invitations can be given out, revoked, and managed freely, and they stay up to date with your current Patreon tier.

If you lose access to your current reward tier, you and the people you have invited will only be able to view your characters in read-only mode until your reward tier becomes active again.

Preemptive questions

What will happen to my current characters/libraries once version 2 is out of beta?

Once version 2 leaves beta, it will replace DiceCloud as it currently exists at dicecloud.com and all user accounts, characters, and libraries will be migrated over.

There are bugs.

I can't log in with my old Google account or password

Version 2 maintains a new, separate database, you will need to create a new account, preferably with Patreon, to log in.

There is a warning about data loss, should I be worried?

You shouldn't make version 2 the only place you store a character. As bugs are found and data structure shift around during the beta, some parts of your character may work differently, or fields may be changed.
