Development Update: Before 2.0
Added 2024-09-26 03:02:18 +0000 UTCI've begun work on the last update before 2.0, more like a patch really.
I'll be refactoring, optimizing and improving the current code of the bot, back-end and front-end, while also trying my best to make it more stable. This will be extremely important going forwards because this bot is, thankfully, growing faster than expected and the planned updates are very complex in nature.
I know, it's a very boring thing to hear, the bot will be faster, so what? Well, again, it's needed for future proofing, and I know that it's a million times better to do it now while I can, rather than later.
I don't think this should take too long, I was already able to cut requests to my back-end by around 40%, which is already huge. I'm pretty sure I'll encounter more ways to optimize it, making simpler and smaller requests, and also just refactoring some code I made for the sake of getting the bot done.
I'll give an ETA of 2 weeks for all of this to be done, it's very possible that it will be done before that.
All this will obviously be accompanied by hot fixes and small patches that always need to be done.
