I took a little while to upload these because I couldn't decide whether to compile them all as one set or individually - ultimately I plumped for the compilation, partly because it's less work than 6 separate posts and partly because it would avoid spamming everyone's inboxes.
This specific tier of "Sketch" (A shorthand here for "rough painting") is something i've done a great deal more of in the past year - dialing in where I feel comfortable working at a lower price point is something i've wanted to do for a while now. These sketches have helped me rediscover a dulled sense of economy of line and refine my ability to determine the minimum number of strokes required to convey something - I feel like you can see their influence in my "full" pieces as well as I get more adept at rapid construction and understand more about when to do less. I also appreciate the dizzying range of characters and descriptions I get in large batches like this - they truly do, in every sense, keep me on my toes.
