Doodle - Bloodveld
Added 2024-02-20 18:28:05 +0000 UTCWith the approach of Slave Zero X's release - which is also my birthday - on the 21st, i've been kind of spinning my wheels in panic mode over the final culmination of four years of work. That slowed down a lot of my other projects as it became hard to focus on anything but anticipating the ultimate response to what has been my longest ever and certainly largest project of any kind, as well as the debut for my career in the industry.
To reset my brain and get back to just painting for it's own sake, I asked Twitter what kind of Old School Runescape monster they'd like to see me interpret in a "full scale" painting, and the Bloodveld, an unpleasant kind of vampiric ultra tardigrade with a raw, fleshy sack of a body came up. Being one of the more unique designs in the game and also an opportunity to paint a mound of flesh and veins, my favourite subjects, I jumped on this one. I've attached the original model for reference!
Tomorrow i'll be making a post to celebrate the release of SLave Zero X - some pre-release reviews have already dropped and it's been an enormous relief to have such a warm welcome, especially for the elements I personally contributed to.
