Going Forward
Added 2019-10-30 12:11:03 +0000 UTCAfter the next update you'll probably see one more minor update before I take off the preview label from Aurora and mark it officially as the v1.0
Going forward any preview versions of the character builder that will be released will be available here for all patrons. These versions would include ongoing changes and first versions of new features that you can try out if you want, and gives breathing room to resolve any issues before shipping the next version. The main goal will be to focus on re-writing parts of the software that allow me to implement new things along the way that are currently not possible.
Downloading these preview versions will be optional. You can also just wait for the final update that will be available from the website.
Also, in the future, after the goal, is met i'll be starting to create a tool that allows you to generate simple content files using a user interface rather than writing files by hand. Think of creating things such as a race or sub race, archetype, background, items, and spells.
As with the preview versions of the character builder, every time an update is available it will be released for the patrons here. This will be a separate tool so that it can be updated individually and any issues won't affect the character builder.
It's hard to provide something for the people who support a free product with free content in the first place. Hopefully this can be something rewarding, give people an incentive to support the project, and allow me to continue this project in the future.
