Editor - Development Peek
Added 2020-07-23 18:00:04 +0000 UTCWhile moving on from the prototype, work has started creating a first alpha version. Implementing the new UI is initially focused on a dark mode, but a light mode (and theme colors) will also be included. It should look less like a prototype now ;)
A description panel has been implemented for the most part to reflect the style of the description in Aurora itself. (description will auto-refresh as you edit the description)
Opening a document will sum up the contents of the file in a 'Document Explorer' tab which will display the names of all elements in the file. Optional collapsable sections will include some quick actions (e.g. copy element ID) or additional information such as the filename/update information where you can for example increment the version (or config auto-increment it on each save).
There will be a 'Search' tab where you can search through (all, builder/custom) content (including the option to search within descriptions). The plan there is to allow to go through results such as items or a spell to allow you to copy it to your document so you can edit it (e.g. homebrew it), or just copy the description for example. But of course also to lookup a weapon, tool, or skill proficiency, to grant it.
The next challenge is to actually start implementing the editor area for the generic element (allow editing every possible part).
