Mid-January Update!

Hey friends! Hope your New Years are off to a great start! 

Wanted to hop in and give you guys a little update on this no-charges month progress and a few things for the future.

Tattoon: In short, I made good progress on Tattoon, realized I didn't like how it was going, and am re-writing it to be a little more focused and less expansive. I had a very big storyline that built the world out and introduced a number of characters, but I decided I want this to be more of a honed-in, somewhat smaller story that focuses more on how becoming a horny part toon lady affects a young woman and all the hilarity it causes, and less about how it affects her general life or her trying to figure out how it happened or how to "fix" it. This is gonna be less of a wide narrative like many of the previous stories, and more of a "let's just have a bunch of fun" type story. I'm much happier with it this way, and making a story that has less of a broad lens to it seems far less daunting. I'm hopeful you'll all enjoy it!

Other stories for the month: I mentioned in the last update that I was planning on getting you guys another small story for the end of the month, but I'm going to rather focus on making Tattoon a good entry into the Chance catalog instead of rushing to get it done and write something extra. But I don't want to leave you without promised extra content. To that end, I've added two more previously-finished chapters (22 new pages, 59 pages total!) to the preview page for my erotic elastic novel, TTT (that name will make sense one day, I promise), for $5 and above patrons. If you read the preview I had up previously and thought "YAWN, call me back when she gets really stretchy", well, I'm calling you back. Hope you guys are liking this story, it's definitely the most ambitious thing I've ever done! 

Prompts going forward: For those of you that follow me on twitter, I put up a thread of polls the other day. This was prompted by the realization that since I started my elastic writing patreon page, only one of the stories suggested has been about an "elastic" girl, The Long Game. The others have all of course been stretchy to degrees, but they all really seemed to be more prompts focusing on an elastic woman becoming a shapeshifter (SYL 3 and Floppy Dreams 2), or a woman gaining sort-of-stretchy-powers-kinda (Tattoon). While that is fun and allows lots of creativity, I do have some semblance of a lack of confidence to write what seem to be increasingly distant-from-my-wheelhouse stories. 

I obviously like shapeshifting stuff, and I like malleable stuff, but I've always been a primarily elastic-focused smutcrafter (hence the name of this patreon), and the more that the prompts have moved away from that core concept, the harder I've found it to create the sort of content I can be proud of. So the polls were there to see what sort of stuff my readers actually want to see from me, what you expect to see from me, what you think I'm best at. I am honestly surprised to see so much elastic voting, given that so few prompts are made with that sort of character in mind, and even fewer of those end up winning. But it does help remind me what I think I'm best at, and help remind me what the most people who read my stories want to see, you all included! 

With that in mind, I'm going to be somewhat more picky in prompt selection. Going forward, I'm going to be less likely to poll a prompt that's not about a mostly elastic character. That is not to say that shapeshifting/malleable/clay/etc prompts won't be accepted or put up for a vote, but at least for the next couple of prompt calls, I'm going to find it hard to be enticed by the concept of writing a story about a woman who can stretch, but mostly does other stuff. This is all within the mindframe of not wanting to burn myself out by having to go so far out of my zone of familiarity and strengths. As much as I'm glad you've all enjoyed the numerous malleable/shapeshifting stories, I find it supremely hard to write those stories back to back to back. I appreciate your guys' understanding with this! I don't like the concept of me policing what you guys vote for so much, but it's all in the view of avoiding falling out of love with this project.
