In these couple of days, only two words came to mind:

Hard work!

Since Carolyn and the others had gained some weight, they needed to work that off. Keith made them go through a new regimen.

The training was quite grueling as Keith opened the door to Carolyn's room in the morning, "Wake up! Time to get your exercise in!" 

"Can't you give me more 5 minutes?" Carolyn threw the blanket over her head as she tried to hide from him. Keith shook his head, "No buts! Now get out of your bed!"

"..."

"Eri, get her!" 

"Hey! Having Eri here is not fair!" How could she say no to the cutie? But the fox had jumped onto her bed, "Big Sister Carolyn, get up." Those bright, round eyes stared so innocently at her. 

"..." She glanced up and then over to a smirking Keith, who knew he had won. Carolyn grumbled as she got up, "You know, I'm still a princess. What if I was naked?"

"Then that's your problem. Now get dressed!" Keith scoffed. Try to use the princess stint with him? That would never work since she had gone to his room too many times. 

After changing, Carolyn came out of the room; that was when she saw two comrades in arms with her. Alfia didn't like being woken up while Scarlet was a heavy sleeper...yeah, the three could tell what happened. Either way, they all headed out. 

Morning jogs were a must now on the island. But once they were finished, it came the kicker. Studying was the next thing. The princess couldn’t help but groan as she lay down on the table, “I really can’t do all of this together!” There was something really wrong with this; what made everything horrible was how everything was being bombarded down on them. 

"Indeed."

"A cookie and a cup of milk tea will brighten my day." A stressful situation like this would need sugar to release the situation. That was the only way for them to think. 

Melor scoffed, "You guys just need to do it. Stop acting so spoiled!" Even if they complained and said everything, the final was still there. They just need to shut their mouth and work. 

"Yeah, look at Eri hard at work!" Eri was on the side working with the plates. Keith had made some new ones, which caused her to work even harder with Fira. 

"..." That caused the rest to stare at them. Why are they acting so keen about this? Usually, they would complain and cry about the study. But not these few days. They were leading the charge. 

"Is it just me or those two have been energetic as well?" A new well-spring of power. They had absurd stamina, but these last few days, they have been even more so. Even as they ran, it seemed they were not running out either. 

Gabriel thought about it, "I think it's because of the food we ate." The only thing that changed was the meals. Keith brought out different meals than usual. 

"I feel more light as well." Gabriel was aware of the changes as well; he was more awake and refreshed during the day. 

“Really?”

“I think it’s because you haven’t worked out for quite some time.” Melor and Herrick had been working on their bodies while they didn’t. So they understood the difference they felt. 

“...” Carolyn and the others were pouting. But that was when Faelyn added, “Princess, you have to exercise now.”

“...Again.”

"Yes. Keith specifically told me to keep you guys moving." Faelyn was the drill sergeant following the commander's order. 

"..." So evil. Carolyn and the others couldn't believe it as they got up and headed out to run. There were no words to say about this; they were going to get chewed out either way by the man. 

When they returned home and started having dinner, it was soft and nice for all of them to eat. Herrick and the others gorged themselves on anything could. Keith sighed, "Eat slower. It'll make you faster if you don't chew."

Later in the night, Keith continued to stroke both Scarlet and Carolyn’s head. “I’m surprised. I can’t believe the two of you are actually sitting here and being together. That was something he had not expected at all. The two of them would be going out and not doing that.

“Because we’re missing something sweet.” “Truce.” The two hugged him tighter which caused Keith to sigh even further. But the thing that hurted the most was how he was being stared at by the fox child on the side. She had finished looking at the plates. And once she did, her eyes locked onto Keith as he was patting them on the head. The child didn’t hesitate as she sat on his lap which caused Scarlet and Carolyn to chuckle. 

“Eri, what’s that?”

“Lemon!”

“What about this?”

As Eri snuggled into Keith’s leg, Carolyn and Scarlet were testing the child’s memory.
