Went from best shape of my life to gaining 20 lbs in 2 months. Then losing 20 lbs in 3 months.

Most of the weight gain was because I was injured, couldn’t move or exercise, and only ate Taco Bell everyday. The steroids I was on to help with the pain made my EXTREMELY HUNGRY.

Once the pain became manageable I started doing light exercise and dieting. Which sucked because I lost 50%-60% of my full body strength. Even more in right Tricep. It was like starting from much earlier Save Point in an RPG and losing all my recent progress.

I then began slowly introducing higher repetition low weight exercise into my workout. Lots of protein. 500 calorie deficit. Working out 3-4x a week on top of doing Physical Therapy. Lots of movement without being too aggressive that stimulates my injury.

And now I’m here! I’m still NO WHERE as strong as I use to be because I’ve been on a cut and haven’t started a bulk where I put on muscle. Considering I lost a lot this will be my next venture. For now, I plan on continuing to cut down to 150 lbs and then maintain for a month. The goal is to just keep shredding away at a few more lbs of fat so I can start a very slow, clean bulk of adding muscle.

The journey was fucking HARD and stressful. So demotivating and mentally challenging. But I’m still here. Still alive. Still pushing. Still trying to get stronger and get healthier so I can live longer to eat more tasty food, lol.
