General update/touch base

First and foremost welcome to the many of you that are new. I have received an overwhelming amount of love and attention recently and I just haven't had time to really sit and respond to everyone or fully welcome people.
So WELCOME!
This patreon grew from a rag tag group to a larger community pretty quickly and I feel like I want to get people's input on what that should mean. Right now I am not capable of being a full time content creator, but that should change soon if I can maintain the growth and momentum I have right now. At the same time, I'm still in grad school, fathering two children, and being a husband. So, I just don't have time to up my productivity that much if I'm going to keep making content every few weeks.
That said, I do wonder what else people might want out of this patreon to make sure it's worth while for everyone. I won't commit to anything I think is untenable, but i'm open to suggestions.
Also, I am hoping to create a discord soon. But 1- I don't know discord well, and 2- I will need a few mods.
I'm super scared at the idea of hosting an online community around my work. I know from experience that online communities whether they be reddit boards, facebook groups, and likely discords, can be toxic so we will go very slow and PLEASE give grace to the way I choose mods and the way things are moderated early on. But if you're interested in being a Mod please email me at signifyre@gmail.com so i can start some type of vetting process.

Hi! Thanks for everything you've been doing in terms of video essays on Youtube! In terms of Patreon content, maybe you could do something like a Q&A livestream with Patreons after the release of new videos as a way for people to further engage with the topic, but also discuss your process for content creation?

I love your videos, and plan to check out more of the black creators you recommend. As a white woman who believes in leftist politics I truly value finding more black voices to listen to and learn from. I'm glad to hear you've been getting more attention and more followers! I hope the support keeps building, because you absolutely deserve it for the depth and the compassion of your analyses! On the topic of suggestions for patreon content, maybe you could occasionally write up shorter essays on topics that merit addressing but that don't quite merit a full video, or something like that?
